Plan-by-Plan Breakdown
Novamira is an MCP server (read full review). It’s what lets an AI coding agent (Claude, Cursor, and similar) operate directly inside your WordPress install, instead of just reading your theme files from the outside.
Run PHP
Query the database
Read and write files
Free covers this core connection. Pro adds the parts that make it worth paying for.
Where to run it?
The Novamira plugin itself is fine on production – Novamira’s own docs say to leave it active there. What shouldn’t happen on a live site is turning on the AI connection itself.
Your agent works on staging, with AI abilities on
You review the result
You ship to production the normal way, with AI abilities left off there
Before buying any paid tier, make sure your site has:
Know this before you count sites: Novamira counts every install the same way – production, staging, and development all use one licence seat each, and in a Multisite each subsite counts separately too.
AI abilities are only meant to run on dev and staging, not production – so in practice, every seat you pay for is a non-production environment.
One client project with a local build plus a staging server already uses 2 of Personal’s 3 seats.
Licences are floating, not permanent – deactivate one on a site you’re done with, and that seat frees up immediately for another.
Free Tier (€0)
What’s Included
Core, open-source AI abilities: PHP execution, file read/write, and direct database access
Unlimited sites
Community support
Who It’s For
Developers testing whether AI-agent access to WordPress is useful at all, or anyone who only needs the raw execute-php/DB access without the paid specializations.
Personal Plan (€49/yr → €44.10/yr with Code)
Up to 3 active site licenses. Renews annually, including:
Full Pro feature set
Per-builder AI specializations across 50+ builders and plugins, live now (and growing) – including Elementor, Bricks, Divi 5, WooCommerce, ACF, and Yoast SEO
1 year of updates
1 year of support
Who It’s For
Solo creators, single-site owners, or freelancers managing a couple of their own or client sites.
Agency Plan (€149/yr → €134.10/yr with Code)
Up to 1,000 active site licenses, renews annually
In a WordPress Multisite install, each subsite counts as its own site toward this limit
Everything in Personal, scaled to a 1,000-site license pool, with the same annual update and support window
Who It’s For
Web design studios and freelancers running AI-agent access across many client installs at once.
Agency Lifetime (€299 Once → €269.10 with Code)
Up to 1,000 sites, with lifetime updates included. Technical support is included for the first year after purchase, according to Dynamic.ooo’s Terms of Service. Novamira’s pricing page lists support as included without mentioning that limit, so confirm with their support team if it matters to you.
In a WordPress Multisite install, each subsite counts as its own site toward this limit.
Note: this one-time option is Agency-only. If you only need 1-3 sites and want to pay once instead of renewing every year, Novamira doesn’t offer a Personal Lifetime tier – you’d need to buy Agency Lifetime instead, even though you’d only ever use 3 of its 1,000 seats.
Cost Analysis
€269.10 once versus €134.10 every year: on price alone, the lifetime deal pays for itself against the annual Agency plan in just over 2 years, and updates stay free after that. One difference to keep in mind: annual plans include support for as long as you keep renewing, while Lifetime includes support for the first year only. If ongoing support matters to you, factor that in.
Recommendation
The best long-term value for any agency that expects to still be running Novamira in two years.
Which Plan Is Right for You?
Novamira Pro’s value isn’t front-end widgets. It’s what your AI agent can do once it’s inside WordPress:
Real WordPress access, not a fixed menu. Your agent runs PHP, queries the database, and reads/writes files directly. It isn’t limited to a pre-built list of actions.
Per-builder specializations. Pro gives the agent dedicated, end-to-end expertise across 50+ builders and plugins already live today (and growing) – including Elementor, Bricks, Divi 5, WPBakery, WooCommerce, ACF, JetEngine, Meta Box, Pods, and Yoast SEO.
Project memory. Pro keeps context across sessions, so the agent doesn’t have to re-learn your site’s structure in every new chat.
Backed by Dynamic.ooo. The same team behind Dynamic Content for Elementor, Dynamic Toolbox for Bricks, Dynamic Shortcodes, and Dynamic Visibility, an established WordPress dev-tool vendor, not a new AI wrapper with no track record.
Match that to how you actually work:
Just exploring whether AI-agent access to WordPress is useful? Start with Free. It’s the full core connection, no card required.
Heads-up: there’s no middle tier between Personal’s 3 sites and Agency’s 1,000. The moment you need a 4th site, you’re paying the full Agency price of €149/yr (or €134.10 with our code) – the same rate as a large agency running hundreds of sites.
Here’s what that jump actually costs, in real numbers:

Running client work across many installs? Agency scales the same Pro feature set up to 1,000 sites.
Expect to still be running Novamira in two years? Agency Lifetime breaks even against the annual Agency plan in just over 2 years, then every year after that is free.
Every paid plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase, so you can test it risk-free.
Renewal Terms
Personal and Agency renew automatically every year. You can switch off auto-renewal at any time from your account area on the Dynamic.ooo website. Updates and support stay tied to that active subscription.
Refunds don’t apply to renewals or upgrades, so it’s worth deciding deliberately rather than letting a renewal lapse by accident. One thing that helps: Dynamic.ooo sends a renewal reminder email at least 30 days before your subscription expires, giving you time to cancel if you don’t want to continue.
Worth flagging: Personal’s €49 is a launch-sale price struck through from a €69 regular price. Novamira doesn’t say how long that launch price lasts. Dynamic.ooo’s Terms of Service say it can change a subscription’s price at renewal, and that it will notify you at least 60 days before a renewal that carries a new price. Until they clarify, budget for the possibility that renewal lands closer to €69 than €49.
Taxes & Fees
Prices on this page are shown in EUR and exclude regional VAT or sales tax. Dynamic.ooo adds that at checkout based on your billing country.
There are no separate seat fees or usage caps on either Free or Pro. Both are unmetered.
One hidden cost that you need to keep in mind:
Novamira itself doesn’t meter your AI’s actions, but your AI provider does. Every PHP execution, file edit, or database query your agent runs bills against your own Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini account – separately from this license.
For anyone doing daily agent-driven builds, that token bill can easily exceed the €49/year Personal license by itself. Novamira supplies the plugin; you supply the model.
If You Don’t Renew
What Dynamic.ooo confirms: anything your AI already built (pages, templates, settings, builder content) stays native WordPress and keeps working, even if Novamira is removed entirely.
What the Terms of Service say: when a subscription expires, access to Novamira Pro’s settings and features can be restricted, and the right to download the plugin ends. Your live site’s front end keeps working. You can renew on the original terms within 30 days after the expiry date; after that you have to buy a new license. If the exact timing matters for your setup, confirm it with Dynamic.ooo support before relying on it.
FAQs
Does coupon code WPBLOGGING101 work on the Agency Lifetime plan?
Yes. It drops the one-time price from €299 to €269.10, the same 10% the code applies to the annual plans.
Do I need a coupon to get the current Personal pricing?
No. Personal’s discount from €69 to €49/year is already applied automatically. WPBLOGGING101 is a separate 10% that stacks on top of whatever price you’re checking out at, on every paid plan.
Can I upgrade from Personal to Agency later?
Yes. Dynamic.ooo’s Terms of Service allow upgrading between subscriptions of the same product by paying the price difference, and downgrading is not possible. Separately, you can upgrade an Annual license to Lifetime within 30 days of your original purchase, again paying only the difference. Refunds don’t apply to upgrades, so check the amount in your account before you confirm.
Is there a free trial?
No dedicated trial, but the free Novamira plugin plus the 30-day money-back guarantee on paid plans functions as one. Try Free first, then buy with a safety net.
Does deactivating a license free up a slot?
Yes. The site limit counts active licenses, not a lifetime cap. Deactivate Novamira on a site you no longer use and that slot opens up for another site.
Do Multisite subsites count separately toward the site limit?
Yes. In a WordPress Multisite install, each subsite counts as its own site toward your plan’s limit.
Final Recommendation
If you only run your own handful of sites (or client work stays under three), Personal at €44.10/year with the code is the easy call:
Full Pro feature set
Enough site allowance for most solo setups
Low enough commitment that the 30-day refund window barely matters
It breaks even against paying €134.10 every year in a little over two years – after that, it’s free for as long as you use it. Only choose annual Agency over Lifetime if you’re genuinely unsure you’ll still be running Novamira two years from now.
Novamira Review 2026: Hands-On Test, Key Features & Final Verdict
Novamira Review
Novamira is a free WordPress plugin and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets you connect your favorite AI assistants, like Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, directly to your WordPress site for natural language management.
My Rating
4.4/5 (Hands-On Tested)
Best For
WordPress developers and agencies using AI coding agents on dev/staging sites
Price
Free forever (unlimited sites), Pro from €49/year
My Verdict
Strong fit for developers and agencies using AI coding agents on staging sites; not built for live production sites
This review is based on Novamira’s official documentation, pricing, and our hands-on testing.
Free and open-source, with unlimited sites
Connects AI directly to WordPress, PHP, files, and databases
Pro adds memory and page-builder expertise from €49/year
In short, Novamira brings AI closer to your WordPress site, making it more than just a code-generation tool.
What is Novamira?
Novamira is a free, open-source WordPress plugin that connects AI tools like Claude directly to your website, using an open standard called MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, the AI can read your site and make changes directly, instead of just handing you code to paste in yourself.
Category

Developer
Ovation S.r.l. (Dynamic.ooo), Milan & Venice, Italy

Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI, and other MCP-compatible AI tools
Don’t mix this up with WordPress 7.0’s own AI Client API. Novamira works in the opposite direction to WordPress AI Client API. The AI Client API lets WordPress connect to AI models, while Novamira lets an external AI agent connect to your WordPress site. Both can run on the same installation without conflicting.
Once installed, the AI gets direct access to your site’s PHP, database, and files. It can:
Run PHP code
Read and update the database
Edit theme or plugin files
Run WP-CLI commands
Because of this level of access, Novamira recommends using it on development or staging sites rather than live production sites.

Tested
September 13, 2026
Time to connect
~4 minutes (8:16 AM–8:20 AM), plugin active to Claude.ai fully connected
Since this test, Novamira Free has moved on to version 1.12.7 (released October 1, 2026), so screens and options may look slightly different on a current install.
Preparation
Right after activating the free plugin, AI Abilities are off by default. The admin bar shows “AI Abilities: Off” until you turn it on yourself. To reach that setting, click either the top admin bar’s Novamira link or the left sidebar’s Novamira menu, then open Configuration.
The Configuration page itself confirms the same thing: the toggle sits unchecked until you flip it yourself.
We enabled AI Abilities, then connected Claude.ai using the recommended OAuth method, with no password to copy or store.
Before we could finish connecting, WordPress’s own Authorize Application screen spelled out exactly what access was being granted: executing PHP and WP-CLI, reading, writing, and deleting server files, changing WordPress content and settings, creating temporary administrator access, and running REST-visible abilities from compatible plugins.
Clicking Authorize opened the connection in a new tab on Claude.ai’s side, which confirmed it immediately and showed its own tool permission settings: read-only tools and write/delete tools can each be set independently to Always allow, Needs approval, or Blocked. This sits as a second layer of control on top of WordPress’s own Abilities Hub, not a replacement for it.
We double-checked from the WordPress side too, via Novamira’s own Manage Connections page, which lists the live connection with a real, system-generated expiry date.
Plugin active to Claude.ai fully connected took about 4 minutes start to finish, timestamped 8:16 AM to 8:20 AM across our screenshots.
Ease of Use
Getting from a fresh install to the AI actually doing something took only a few steps, and none of them required digging through documentation.
Asked it to count published posts, it queried the database directly and returned the correct number in under a second, no extra permissions requested
Before touching anything, it read the active theme and plugin list on its own, without being asked to
Tried running a WP-CLI command through the agent to check the WordPress version, but it failed cleanly, because shell_exec() (the PHP function that runs terminal commands) is disabled on this host. A useful reminder that WP-CLI support depends on what your hosting provider allows, not just the plugin
Ordinary plain-language instructions worked, no special AI prompting required
Reading data is one thing, but the real claim is that Novamira lets the AI make changes for you. So we asked it to actually create something: a draft post.
We checked wp-admin ourselves to confirm, rather than just take the AI’s word for it, and the draft was really there.
Between the read checks and the live draft it created, everything we tried worked exactly as described, aside from the one WP-CLI limitation that came down to hosting, not the plugin.
Memory Across Sessions (Pro)
Before testing this, we activated Novamira Pro on the same install with a real license key.
Key Features above claims persistent per-site memory between sessions. We tested this directly. In one fresh chat, we asked it to remember our CSS class prefix convention.
In a separate, brand new chat a few minutes later, with no reminder given, we asked what prefix to use for a new component. It answered correctly, and it even correctly separated this from the different prefix convention already saved for our main wpblogging101.com site, rather than mixing the two up.
Builder Expertise in Practice (Pro)
Pro claims specialized expertise for page builders like Elementor. To test this, we created a simple starter page and asked it to add a testimonial section, using a single-line prompt with no Elementor-specific instructions given.
The first result had a small styling bug (line-height set wrong) that we fixed, which is worth knowing if you use short prompts like we did.
Once fixed, the section held up well: proper Elementor v4 containers and widgets, correctly nested, fully editable in the real Elementor editor, no generic HTML or broken structure.
Key Features
Fifteen features worth knowing about: twelve from the free plugin, two that need Pro, and Skills, which is free and gets extra ready-made packs in Pro.
Features below come from Novamira’s own documentation. For what actually held up in hands-on use, see Our Experience & Findings above.
Direct PHP Execution
Most AI WordPress tools hand you code to copy and paste. Novamira runs that PHP directly inside your WordPress installation, no sandboxed proxy, no hosted middle layer. If PHP can reach it, your AI agent can use it.
Full Site Inspection Before Acting
Before it touches anything, Novamira reads your database, post meta, options, active plugins, and theme structure. The agent works from your actual install instead of guessing at a generic WordPress setup.
File Read, Write & Edit: With a Safety Sandbox
Novamira can read, edit, and delete files on your site, and any new PHP file it writes lands in a protected sandbox folder first, not live into your plugins or theme.
WP-CLI Command Support
The AI agent can run WP-CLI commands directly, so tasks like clearing caches or checking installed plugins happen without you typing a single command yourself. This runs through PHP’s shell_exec() (the function that runs terminal commands) under the hood, so it depends entirely on whether your host allows it. Ours didn’t (see Our Experience & Findings below).
Works With Any MCP-Compatible AI Client
Novamira connects over the open MCP standard, so it works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Windsurf, Zed, Cline, Codex, Gemini CLI, ChatGPT, Grok, and any other MCP-compatible client. No proprietary protocol, and no cloud middleman routing your site’s data through a third party. Terminal-based coding agents can skip MCP entirely and connect through the separate Novamira CLI, a leaner command-line alternative.
Domain-Lock Protection
If your site’s domain ever changes, like a staging copy restored somewhere else, Novamira automatically switches AI access off until an admin manually confirms it’s safe.
Abilities Hub: Turn Any Ability On or Off
One screen inside WordPress lets you enable or disable each AI ability individually, so you can allow exactly what the AI is permitted to do and nothing more.
Site Context: Standing Instructions for Every Agent
A dedicated settings page lets you write standing instructions (site goals, brand voice, naming conventions, what needs approval) that apply automatically to every connected agent, every conversation, without repeating yourself each time.
Novamira Chat: Built-In Chat, Bring Your Own AI Key
A chat interface lives right inside wp-admin, so you don’t strictly need Claude.ai, Cursor, or any external app to use Novamira. It runs on your own AI provider API key though, billed per message rather than included in Novamira’s price, which is fine for quick changes but not meant for heavy work. It also requires WordPress 7 or later.
Design & Visual (Experimental)
Two more free-tier areas worth knowing about: Novamira Design lets the AI capture and reuse one saved design system (colors, type, spacing) consistently across pages, and Novamira Visual is an experimental visual canvas for reviewing or nudging layout changes without writing prompts for every tweak.
Block Editor (Gutenberg) Support
AI agents can create and edit posts, pages, templates, template parts, and navigation menus in the block editor, using native blocks that stay editable. Changes go through a Block Editor Queue, and since version 1.12.7 a queued change that would drop most of a page’s text or images is stopped before it saves.
Novamira HQ (Beta)
Novamira HQ is a free desktop app, currently in beta, that puts all your WordPress sites in one place and gives your AI a single connection to every one of them. The docs include setup guides for connecting hosting accounts at providers such as Kinsta, Hostinger, WP Engine, Cloudways, and Pantheon.
Persistent Project Memory (Pro)
The free plugin already gives you Site Context for standing instructions and your own Skills, but nothing that carries over what an agent learned between sessions. Pro adds that: it stores project conventions such as your color palette, typography, and plugin preferences server-side, so you stop repeating yourself.
Builder & Plugin Expertise (Pro)
Pro adds specialized knowledge for more than 50 page builders, themes, and plugins, including Elementor, Bricks, GeneratePress, and Astra, plus form plugins like WPForms and Gravity Forms. That depth cuts down on failed attempts when the AI is working inside a specific builder’s quirks.
Skills (Free, Plus Ready-Made Packs in Pro)
Skills are short Markdown playbooks your AI follows automatically when a task matches their description, so repeat jobs like site audits do not need to be re-explained each time. Writing and uploading your own Skills is part of the free plugin. Pro adds a set of ready-made Skills that the Novamira team writes and maintains.
Pros & Cons
Here is where Novamira genuinely delivers, and where it still needs to prove itself.
Pros
Free tier works on unlimited sites
No caps on AI actions or builds
Works with Claude, Cursor, Codex, and more
Open source and fully auditable code
30-day money-back guarantee on Pro plans
Upgrade path from annual to lifetime, but only within 30 days of your original purchase
Cons
Full PHP and database access is risky
Not recommended for live production sites
AI client subscription billed separately
Refund guarantee covers initial purchase only
Community reviews and track record still new
Requires WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 8.0+
Pricing Plans

Personal, 3 sites, €49/year
Agency, 1,000 sites, €149/year
Agency Lifetime, 1,000 sites, €299 one-time
Novamira uses a simple free-plus-paid model. The core plugin is free forever with no site limit, and an optional Pro tier adds extra capabilities on top.

Personal suits a solo developer running a handful of sites. Agency makes sense once you’re managing multiple client sites and want predictable yearly cost. Agency Lifetime is the better long-term value if you plan to keep using Novamira for years, since it avoids renewal fees entirely, though its support covers the first year only.
If you just want to try the AI abilities without paying anything, the Free tier already includes PHP execution, file access, and database queries on unlimited sites. The Pro-only additions are memory and page-builder expertise, not core functionality.
One cost to factor in: this price only covers the plugin. Connecting an AI client like Claude or Cursor still needs your own subscription or API access with that provider, billed separately.
Novamira Coupons & Discount Codes
A working coupon shaves a real amount off any Pro plan. Here’s how to apply it:
Choose your plan (Personal, Agency, or Agency Lifetime) from Novamira’s pricing page
Add it to your cart
Enter WPBLOGGING101 in the coupon field and click Apply Coupon
The 10% discount reflects immediately in your cart total
What each plan costs with the code applied:
Personal: €49 → €44.10 (save €4.90)
Agency: €149 → €134.10 (save €14.90)
Agency Lifetime: €299 → €269.10 (save €29.90)
Trial, Payment & Refunds
Trial: There’s no dedicated free trial, but the Free tier costs nothing and already covers the core AI abilities, so you can test everything before paying for Pro.
Payment: Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) or PayPal, checkout via shop.dynamic.ooo. Paying from outside the EU may add a currency conversion fee depending on your card issuer, so paying in EUR directly could work out cheaper if your card supports it.
Refunds:
30-day money-back guarantee, requested via refund@dynamic.ooo
Covers the initial purchase only, not renewals or upgrades
Dynamic.ooo emails a renewal notice at least 30 days before expiry, so you can cancel before the next charge
Between the free tier and the refund window, there’s very little financial risk in trying Novamira before committing to it long-term.
A few practical things worth knowing before you install Novamira, beyond features and pricing.
Compatibility & Limitations
Novamira is built for development and staging, not live production sites. A few specific limitations are worth knowing before you install it.
Requires WordPress 6.9+ and PHP 8.0+ (Pro also needs Novamira Free 1.6.0 or higher)
AI abilities are off by default, and only administrators can turn them on
New PHP files run in a sandbox with crash recovery, but direct PHP execution can bypass the sandbox entirely
Each site counts separately toward your license limit, including production, staging, dev, and individual Multisite subsites (confirmed: deactivating the license on an old site frees that slot right away)
A “safe mode” URL flag instantly disables all sandbox files as a manual kill switch, and every direct PHP call has a hard 30-second execution limit to stop runaway scripts
A few more limitations are worth flagging, though we have not independently tested these ourselves. They come from Novamira’s own documentation and other testers’ reports:
ACF fields reportedly need detailed, specific instructions, since vague prompts are more likely to trip the agent up
Older-style (“V3”) Elementor widget generation is not as well supported yet as the newer v4 atomic widgets
Custom widgets the AI builds for you are tied to the site they were built on, not easily portable to another site
Complex tasks reportedly need a top-tier AI model; cheaper or smaller models are more likely to struggle
Getting Support
Support depends on which tier you are on.
Free: community-supported. Start with the docs, ask in the Discord (newly launched), or open a GitHub issue for bugs. No direct ticket support.
Pro: direct support from the Dynamic.ooo team. Annual licenses include it while you keep renewing. Lifetime licenses include 1 year of support, and updates continue after that, according to the Terms of Service.
Affiliate Program
Novamira runs its affiliate program through Dynamic.ooo, the company behind the plugin.
20% commission on referred sales, uncapped
€400 minimum payout, paid out 40 days after the sale to cover the 30-day refund window
Sign up through the affiliate area on shop.dynamic.ooo (the tracking cookie lasts 30 days), then email affiliation@dynamic.ooo to request a payout
Companion & Sibling Products
Novamira comes from Ovation S.r.l. (Dynamic.ooo), an established name in the Elementor and Bricks ecosystems. If you use either builder, their other plugins are worth knowing about:
Dynamic Content for Elementor
Dynamic Toolbox for Bricks
Dynamic Shortcodes
Dynamic Visibility for Elementor
Who Novamira Is (and Isn’t) For
Novamira fits a specific kind of user well, and is a poor match for others. Here is who should, and should not, install it.
Novamira is Best For:
Developers and agencies already paying for an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, and similar) who want it working directly against real WordPress sites
Anyone building or maintaining sites on Elementor, Bricks, WooCommerce, ACF, or similar, who wants Pro’s builder-specific expertise instead of generic advice
Solo developers comfortable running a staging environment with backups before anything touches production
Agencies managing multiple client sites who want to speed up repetitive tasks like audits, migrations, and configuration changes
Skip Novamira if:
You want AI help with blog posts or content, not direct site access, a writing assistant is a better fit
You do not run a staging site or take regular backups, Novamira’s full PHP and database access has no undo button
You manage a production site with multiple admins who should not all have full PHP execution rights, since permissions are all-or-nothing right now
You are not already using an MCP-compatible AI client, since Novamira is a connector, not a standalone AI

Third-Party Reviews
Being a developer-first WordPress MCP plugin, Novamira shows up on GitHub, Reddit, and Trustpilot rather than software review sites like G2 or Capterra.
Regular releases and bug fixes, a small ecosystem of independent companion plugins has started appearing around it
What users say:
Trustpilot: one reviewer said it let their team scale up client workload, with the main friction being AI-platform MCP support rather than Novamira itself, naming Claude and Cursor as their main tools
Reddit (r/ProWordPress): described it working across different plugins and themes without compatibility issues, used for tasks from security audits to full site builds
Novamira’s Discord and Trustpilot presence only launched recently, so there isn’t a large volume of feedback yet. What’s there leans positive, but it’s an early signal, not a settled track record.
Alternatives Compared
Novamira isn’t the only way to connect an AI agent to WordPress. Three worth knowing about:
Sites leaning heavily on WooCommerce, Elementor, or ACF
Broader plugin-specific coverage for that particular stack
Royal MCP takes a genuinely different approach, built around broad plugin-specific coverage rather than raw PHP access.
FAQs
Is Novamira really free?
Yes. The core plugin is free forever, with no cap on the number of sites or on AI actions and builds. Pro is optional and adds project memory plus specialized expertise for page builders and plugins.
Is Novamira safe to use on a live website?
The vendor recommends staging and development environments only. AI abilities are off by default and only administrators can enable them, but full PHP and database access means mistakes have no built-in undo.
Which AI tools work with Novamira?
Any MCP-compatible client, including Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, Windsurf, Zed, and OpenCode.
Do I need to pay for an AI subscription separately?
Yes. Novamira connects your AI client to WordPress, but your AI provider bills you separately for the actual AI usage, by subscription or per token.
What does Novamira Pro add over the free version?
Persistent project memory between sessions, plus specialized expertise for more than 50 page builders, themes, and plugins, including Elementor, Bricks, and WooCommerce.
Can I get a refund if Pro does not work for me?
Yes, a 30-day money-back guarantee covers your initial purchase. It does not extend to renewals or upgrades.
Who makes Novamira?
Ovation S.r.l., trading as Dynamic.ooo, an Italian company that also builds Dynamic Content for Elementor and Dynamic Toolbox for Bricks.
Can I remove Novamira later without breaking my site?
Almost everything. Everything the AI builds through Novamira becomes native WordPress content, real PHP files, pages, and settings, so it keeps working even after you deactivate or delete the plugin. The one exception is code placed in Novamira’s own sandbox folder, since the plugin is what loads it, so move that code into your theme or a small plugin first if you plan to remove Novamira.
Final Verdict
Novamira delivers on its main promise: it gives AI agents direct access to WordPress instead of simply generating code for you to paste.
The catch: Full PHP and database access means a bad AI-generated change can break things quickly. For that reason, I would use Novamira on staging or development sites, as the vendor recommends.
Best for:
Developers and agencies already using AI coding agents on staging sites
WordPress users who want AI to actually work on their site, not just suggest code
Skip it if:
You need something designed for live production sites. In that case, consider a more controlled option such as WPVibe.
My take: The Free tier costs nothing to test, so try Novamira for free on a staging site before deciding whether Pro is worth paying for.
GenerateBlocks Review 2026: If you have spent any time in WordPress Facebook groups or Reddit threads asking how to build fast, clean pages without a bloated page builder, someone has told you to try GenerateBlocks. It is a small collection of Gutenberg blocks built by the same team behind the GeneratePress theme, and it has quietly become one of the most recommended tools for developers, agencies, and performance-obsessed bloggers who are tired of choosing between “easy to use” and “fast.”
I have spent weeks rebuilding pages with it, testing the free version against the Pro add-on, and comparing it to Kadence Blocks, Spectra, and a couple of full page builders. This review covers everything: what GenerateBlocks actually does, what changed with the big version 2.0 rebuild, what is new in the June 2026 update, honest pros and cons, real pricing, and whether it is actually worth switching to in 2026.
🔔 October 2026 Update: GenerateBlocks Pro 2.6 (and free GenerateBlocks 2.3) shipped on June 23, 2026, adding a full Forms block with Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, and Brevo integrations, plus direct CSS editing on Global Styles. This review reflects that update.

This GenerateBlocks review takes about 15 to 20 minutes to read (5,000+ words).
I know that is a lot, but I have packed in everything I wish someone had told me before I started building with it, including the parts other reviews skip: the real learning curve, the Query Loop quirks, and whether the Pro price is actually worth paying.
Feel free to jump straight to the “Final Verdict” section if you just want the short answer.
What Is GenerateBlocks? A Brief Overview
GenerateBlocks is a lightweight WordPress plugin that adds a small set of highly flexible blocks to the native Gutenberg editor. Instead of giving you fifty pre-made widgets like most “block library” plugins do, it hands you a handful of building blocks, mainly Container, Grid, Text, Button, Image, and Query Loop, and lets you combine them to build literally anything: headers, pricing tables, review boxes, footers, and full landing pages.
The philosophy is simple: learn a few blocks deeply instead of memorizing dozens of shallow ones. Once it clicks, you stop hunting through a block library and start assembling sections the same way every time, which is a big part of why so many developers standardize on it for client work.
GenerateBlocks works with any WordPress theme. You do not need GeneratePress to use it, though the two are built by the same team and tend to work exceptionally well together.
Who Made It? Company Background
GenerateBlocks comes from Tom Usborne, the developer behind GeneratePress, the lightweight WordPress theme that has been downloaded millions of times since 2014 and still powers a huge share of performance-focused WordPress sites today. GenerateBlocks launched as a companion plugin to bring that same “clean code, no bloat” philosophy into the block editor itself.
In 2024 and 2025, the plugin went through a major version 2.0 rebuild that replaced the original Headline and Button blocks with a unified Text block and rewrote how styles are generated under the hood. It was a bigger shift than most plugin updates, and it is the reason some older GenerateBlocks reviews you will find online (including plenty still ranking on Google) are describing a version of the plugin that no longer exists.
Most recently, GenerateBlocks Pro 2.6 and the free GenerateBlocks 2.3 landed on June 23, 2026, adding a genuinely useful Forms block and opening up direct CSS editing for both individual blocks and Global Styles, something the plugin never offered before.
Looking ahead, the GeneratePress team has historically shipped major features based directly on user requests posted in their public forums rather than a fixed public roadmap. Given the pace of the 2.0 rebuild and the 2.6 Forms release, expect continued investment in the Forms system (more integrations, conditional logic) and further expansion of direct CSS editing across the plugin.
Key Features Of The Free GenerateBlocks Plugin
The free version on WordPress.org is not a stripped-down teaser. It is genuinely usable for building entire sites, and a lot of GenerateBlocks users never touch the Pro version at all. Here is what you get.
Container Block
The Container is the foundation of almost everything you build. It replaces what used to take a Row, a Column, and a Section widget in other builders. You can nest containers inside containers, control padding, margin, borders, backgrounds, flex direction, and alignment, all from one panel.
Grid Block
The Grid block gives you real CSS Grid layouts without writing a line of CSS. You set the number of columns per breakpoint (desktop, tablet, mobile) and it handles the rest. This is how most GenerateBlocks pricing tables, feature comparisons, and image galleries get built.
Text Block (formerly Headline)
Since version 2.0, Headline and paragraph-style text were merged into a single Text block that can render as any HTML tag, h1 through h6, p, span, or div. You get full typography control: font family, size per breakpoint, weight, letter spacing, line height, and color, all without touching the Customizer.
Button Block
This is the block I recommend most to affiliate and review site owners. The default Gutenberg button block is genuinely limited, no real hover control, weak spacing options. GenerateBlocks’ Button block adds background gradients, icon support, precise padding, and separate hover styling, which matters a lot when your buttons are doing the heavy lifting of converting readers into clicks.
Query Loop Block
This is the block that quietly does the most work. You design a single card, listing item, or team member layout once, then bind it to a live query of your posts, products, or a custom post type, and GenerateBlocks repeats it automatically. It is how you build a “Related Posts” section, a custom blog archive, or a product grid without writing a custom PHP template. For content sites, this alone can replace two or three separate plugins.
Global Styles
Instead of styling every button on your site one at a time, Global Styles let you define a style once and apply it everywhere. Change the base style, and every block using it updates instantly. This is also what keeps GenerateBlocks’ CSS output small: styles are shared and deduplicated rather than repeated block by block.
Performance And Clean Code
GenerateBlocks does not load a front-end JavaScript framework, jQuery, or an icon library on every page like most page builders do. It generates only the CSS a given page actually uses and outputs standard Gutenberg block markup. That means your caching plugin, CDN, and minifier all work with it normally instead of fighting builder-specific quirks, which matters a lot on a site like this one that leans on WP Rocket and Cloudways Varnish.
Theme And Plugin Compatibility
GenerateBlocks works with any theme that supports the block editor, and it plays fine alongside other block plugins if you need one for something specific. You can install it next to Kadence Blocks or Spectra without conflicts, though most people who commit to GenerateBlocks end up using it almost exclusively once they are past the learning curve.
GenerateBlocks Pro Features And Benefits
The free version covers layout and typography. Pro is where GenerateBlocks starts competing directly with full page builders on design flexibility, without adding the bloat those builders are known for.
Pattern Library And Local Patterns
Pro unlocks a library of 200+ professionally designed patterns, pre-built sections like hero headers, pricing tables, testimonial grids, and CTAs, that you can insert and then restyle to match your brand. You can also save your own sections as Local Patterns and reuse them across the site, which is a huge time saver if you build a lot of similar landing pages.
Forms Block (New In 2.6)
This is the biggest addition in the June 2026 update. GenerateBlocks Pro now ships with a built-in Contact form and Email signup form, styled using the same block system as everything else, so your forms actually match your site instead of looking like they were dropped in from a separate plugin. You can route submissions to email, a webhook, or connect directly to Mailchimp, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, or Brevo. For a lot of sites, this alone can replace a dedicated forms plugin.
Accordion, Tabs, And Carousel
Pro adds interactive blocks built the same lightweight way as everything else, no jQuery, accessible by default, with full control over what goes inside each item (text, images, even other blocks). The Accordion in particular is popular for FAQ sections. One thing worth knowing before you build with it: when you place an Accordion inside a Query Loop, each looped instance behaves as its own independent accordion, so “only one item open at a time” does not automatically apply across the whole loop without a small JS snippet. It is a minor quirk, but it catches people off guard.
Dynamic Data
Pro lets you pull in post titles, featured images, custom fields, and ACF data directly into any block, not just inside a Query Loop. This is what makes GenerateBlocks genuinely useful for building custom archive pages, staff directories, or portfolio grids without a developer.
Direct CSS Editing And Global Styles Editor
Also new in the 2.6 update: you can now write raw CSS directly on a block or on a Global Style, instead of being limited to the visual controls. This closes one of the more common developer complaints, that GenerateBlocks was fast but occasionally too restrictive for a very specific design detail.
Site Header, Navigation, And Overlay Panels (Added In 2.2-2.4)
Before the June 2026 Forms update, GenerateBlocks Pro picked up three other major additions that are easy to miss if you only check the latest changelog. The Site Header Block and Navigation Block (2.2) let you build a fully custom header and menu system as native blocks instead of relying on the Customizer. Overlay Panels (2.3) added mega menu, pop-up, and modal support — directly answering the most common early complaint about the Navigation Block, which launched without mega-menu support. Conditional Blocks (2.4) let you show or hide content based on device or other conditions, useful for running a simplified mobile menu alongside a fuller desktop one. Together, these mean you can now build an entire site, header and navigation included, without leaving GenerateBlocks.
Advanced Backgrounds, Effects, And Custom Attributes
Pro adds gradient and video backgrounds, scroll and hover effects on containers, and the ability to add custom HTML attributes to any block, useful for analytics tracking, schema markup, or JavaScript hooks without editing theme files.
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Every Pro purchase, whether standalone or through the GeneratePress One bundle, comes with a 30-day refund window, so you can genuinely test it on a real project before committing.
Pros And Cons Of GenerateBlocks
Here is my honest breakdown after actually building with it, not just reading the feature list.
GenerateBlocks Pros:
Genuinely free, fully-usable version with no artificial site limits.
Extremely lightweight: no jQuery, minimal CSS, clean HTML output.
Works with every WordPress theme, not locked into one ecosystem.
Query Loop block can replace several separate plugins for listings and archives.
New Forms block (2.6) connects to major email marketing tools out of the box.
Excellent, hands-on support directly from the developer and team.
30-day money-back guarantee on all Pro purchases.
Direct CSS editing (new in 2.6) gives developers an escape hatch when needed.
Site Header, Navigation, and Overlay Panel blocks (2.2-2.4) let you build full custom headers and mega menus natively.
GenerateBlocks Cons:
Real learning curve, especially if you are used to a visual drag-and-drop page builder.
Far fewer pre-built blocks than Kadence Blocks or Spectra; you build sections from scratch.
Accordion inside a Query Loop needs a small JS workaround for “one item open at a time” behavior.
No true visual, click-and-drag canvas; everything happens through the block editor’s inspector panels.
The 2.0 rebuild means some tutorials and forum answers you find online describe the old version 1 blocks.
GenerateBlocks Pricing And Plans
GenerateBlocks keeps its pricing simple compared to most page builders. There is no confusing tier ladder with five different plans, just free, Pro, or the full bundle.
1. GenerateBlocks Free
$0, unlimited sites. Container, Grid, Text, Button, Image, and Query Loop blocks with full responsive and typography controls. This is enough to build a complete blog or small business site.
2. GenerateBlocks Pro
$99 per year, renewing annually. Adds the Pattern Library, Local Patterns, Global Styles editor, Accordion, Tabs, Carousel, Forms, Dynamic Data, direct CSS editing, and Advanced Backgrounds. Covers a generous number of sites on one license, which makes it reasonable for freelancers managing several client sites.
3. GeneratePress One (Full Bundle)
$149 per year. This includes GP Premium (the GeneratePress theme’s premium add-on), GenerateBlocks Pro, and GenerateCloud, all under a single license key, plus access to any future products the team releases. If you are already planning to use the GeneratePress theme, this bundle is cheaper than buying GP Premium ($59/year) and GenerateBlocks Pro ($99/year) separately, and it is what I would recommend for most people building a real business on WordPress.
Is Pro worth paying for? If you only need clean layouts and a fast blog, the free version genuinely does the job, plenty of production sites run on it with nothing else. But if you build FAQ sections, pricing tables, forms, or client sites regularly, the time you save with the Pattern Library and Forms block alone will pay for the $99/year within the first couple of projects.

Who should stick with Free: bloggers building straightforward layouts, and anyone who is still deciding whether GenerateBlocks fits their workflow before paying for anything.
Who should upgrade to Pro: anyone building FAQ accordions, forms, or repeatable landing pages regularly, and agencies who want a Pattern Library to speed up client builds.
How To Install And Use GenerateBlocks (Beginner Tutorial)
Installing GenerateBlocks Free
In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.
Search for “GenerateBlocks” and click Install Now, then Activate.
Open any post or page in the block editor. You will see Container, Grid, Text, Button, Image, and Query Loop under the GenerateBlocks section when you click the (+) icon.
Download the Pro plugin zip file from your GenerateBlocks account dashboard.
In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the zip file, install, and activate.
Go to GenerateBlocks > License in your dashboard and paste your license key to unlock Pro features.
Building Your First Section
Here is the exact workflow I use for a simple call-to-action section, the same logic applies to almost anything you will build:
Add a Container block, set it to full width, and give it padding (I usually start with 60px top and bottom).
Inside it, add a Grid block and set it to 1 column on mobile, 2 columns on desktop.
In the first grid cell, add a Text block set to render as an H2, plus a paragraph below it.
In the second cell, add a Button block, style the background, and set a distinct hover color.
Save the whole Container as a Local Pattern (Pro) so you can reuse this exact CTA layout anywhere else on the site with one click.
Optimization Tips
Use Global Styles for anything repeated more than twice, buttons, headings, cards, so you are not duplicating CSS across the page.
Keep Container nesting shallow where you can. Deep nesting still renders clean CSS, but it makes the editor slower to work in.
If you run a caching plugin like WP Rocket, clear your cache after big Global Style changes since generated CSS is sometimes cached separately from the page itself.
Ease Of Use: What The Learning Curve Actually Feels Like
This is the section most GenerateBlocks reviews gloss over, so let me be specific about what to actually expect.
Installation and setup are trivial, it is a normal WordPress plugin, active in under a minute, with no separate account or onboarding wizard required for the free version. Activating Pro just means uploading a second zip file and pasting a license key.
The interface lives entirely inside the native block editor’s right-hand sidebar. If you have used Gutenberg at all, nothing about the layout feels foreign. There is no separate front-end “canvas” mode like Elementor or Bricks use; you are always editing in roughly the same view your visitors will see.
The real learning curve is conceptual, not technical. You need to understand how Container, Grid, and Text nest inside each other before you can build confidently, because GenerateBlocks does not hold your hand with a finished template. My honest estimate: a couple of focused evenings to get comfortable with the basics, and a couple of weeks of regular use before it feels as fast as a page builder you already know. Several agency owners who switched described the same pattern in the research for this review, slower for the first project, noticeably faster from the second project onward, once the muscle memory kicks in.
For total beginners who have never touched WordPress, I would not start here. Learn basic Gutenberg first, then move to GenerateBlocks once you are comfortable with blocks, columns, and the general editor flow. For anyone with even light WordPress experience, the curve is very manageable.
Real Performance: Speed And Core Web Vitals
Performance is the entire reason most people switch to GenerateBlocks, so it is worth being specific instead of just saying “it’s fast.”
GenerateBlocks generates CSS per-block and only outputs the styles a page actually uses, rather than loading one giant stylesheet with every possible style on every page like most page builders do. There is no jQuery dependency anywhere in the plugin, and the HTML it outputs is close to what you would hand-code yourself, just a handful of nested divs with utility classes.
In independent testing, a site rebuilt entirely in GenerateBlocks (including dynamic Query Loop listings) scored 97 Performance, 91 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices, and 100 SEO on Google Lighthouse desktop, with Core Web Vitals comfortably in the green. Those numbers will vary based on your hosting, images, and how many other plugins you are running, but they reflect what the plugin itself is capable of when nothing else is dragging the page down.
Because it stays close to standard WordPress output, caching plugins, CDNs, and minifiers all work with it the way they are supposed to. That matters more than it sounds: some page builders generate CSS in ways that confuse aggressive optimization plugins like WP Rocket’s Remove Unused CSS, causing broken layouts. GenerateBlocks does not create that fight.
Best Use Cases For GenerateBlocks
GenerateBlocks is not the right tool for every project, but it excels at a specific type of site. Here is where it makes the most sense.
Blogs and content sites: clean, fast post templates with custom “Related Posts” and author box layouts via Query Loop.
Affiliate and review sites: custom pros/cons boxes, comparison tables, and high-converting CTA buttons without extra plugins.
Agencies and freelancers: a consistent, repeatable build system that is easy to hand off to a client because it is just Gutenberg underneath.
Business and service websites: professional layouts without the load time hit of a full page builder.
WooCommerce stores: Query Loop can build custom product grids and archive layouts that match your brand exactly.
Landing pages: Pro’s Pattern Library and Local Patterns speed up building repeatable campaign pages significantly.
Where I would not reach for it: if you need a highly visual, drag-and-drop design process with zero learning curve, or you are building a portfolio site that leans on unusual, one-off layouts you will never reuse, a full page builder like Elementor or Bricks may get you there faster.
Compatibility With Themes, Plugins, And Hosting
GenerateBlocks does not lock you into an ecosystem. Here is how it plays with the tools most WordPress site owners are already running.
Themes: works with GeneratePress (deepest integration), Kadence, Astra, Blocksy, Neve, and the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme.
WooCommerce: fully compatible; Query Loop can target product post types directly.
SEO plugins: works cleanly with Rank Math and Yoast SEO since it does not interfere with post content parsing.
Caching and performance: plays well with WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, and Cloudflare.
Hosting: no special server requirements; runs fine on shared hosting and scales well on managed hosts like Cloudways.
Other block plugins: can run alongside Kadence Blocks or Spectra without conflicts, though most sites settle on one primary block system.
What Real Users Are Saying About GenerateBlocks
Beyond my own testing, I went through recent WordPress.org reviews, agency blog write-ups, and developer forum threads to see how the plugin holds up for people building real client and personal sites in 2026.
The most common praise comes from freelance developers who build multiple client sites. One WordPress.org reviewer who builds sites professionally described switching to GenerateBlocks as his default tool after testing every major page builder, specifically citing the clean markup and how well it plays with caching and CDNs compared to heavier builders. That sentiment shows up repeatedly: people do not just like GenerateBlocks, they actively stop reaching for their old page builder once they are comfortable with it.
The Query Loop block gets singled out constantly as the feature that changes how people build. Developers describe designing a single card or listing template once, then repeating it across live content, replacing what used to require a custom PHP archive template entirely.
On the critical side, the most repeated complaint is the learning curve after the version 2.0 rebuild. Several long-time users on the GeneratePress forums and in paid courses built specifically to teach GenerateBlocks 2.0 note that the added power came with real complexity, enough that some agencies now budget dedicated onboarding time for new team members. Support quality is consistently praised, though, with multiple users saying they learned more from reading support forum replies than from some paid courses.
The other recurring theme, especially in accordion and query loop support threads, is that dynamic FAQ and listing setups sometimes need a small custom JavaScript snippet to behave exactly as expected, which is a fair trade-off for a plugin this lightweight, but worth knowing before you promise a client a specific interaction.
Top GenerateBlocks Alternatives
GenerateBlocks is not the only serious option in the Gutenberg block plugin space. Here is how it stacks up against the plugins people compare it to most.
1. Kadence Blocks
Kadence Blocks gives you 20+ ready-made blocks and a large design library, which makes it faster to get a polished result if you do not want to build every section from scratch. GenerateBlocks asks more of you upfront but produces a leaner final page. Choose Kadence if you want more done-for-you design; choose GenerateBlocks if you want maximum control with the smallest footprint.
2. Spectra
Built by Brainstorm Force (the team behind Astra), Spectra offers a large free tier with 30+ blocks and full-site starter templates. It is the natural pick if you are already using the Astra theme. GenerateBlocks generates leaner markup per block, but Spectra gets you to a finished-looking page faster out of the box.
3. Stackable
Stackable focuses on design depth, with more premium UI animations and content-focused blocks. It is a good fit if visual polish out of the box matters more to you than raw lightweight output.
4. GreenShift
GreenShift leans into scroll animations and Full Site Editing features more heavily than GenerateBlocks does. Worth a look if animated, motion-heavy design is a priority for your niche.

5. Bricks Builder
Bricks is a full visual page builder rather than a lightweight block plugin, with a true drag-and-drop canvas. Its main differentiator: it offers a one-time lifetime-payment option alongside annual plans — something none of the other alternatives on this list have. Pricing varies by site count and has shifted over time (roughly \$79-\$599 across current plans as of this writing), so check Bricks’ official pricing page for exact current numbers. Choose Bricks if a one-time payment matters more to you than the smallest possible page footprint, or if you want a true visual canvas rather than block-based editing.
Pricing on competitor plugins changes often; check each plugin’s official pricing page before buying.
GenerateBlocks Coupons And Discounts
GenerateBlocks does not run a permanent public coupon code. The main recurring discount window is Black Friday, when GeneratePress typically runs a flat discount across GP Premium, GenerateBlocks Pro, and the GeneratePress One bundle. I keep a dedicated page tracking that sale each year: GeneratePress Black Friday Deals.
Outside of Black Friday, the best way to save is simply choosing the GeneratePress One bundle over buying GP Premium and GenerateBlocks Pro separately, since the bundle price is lower than the sum of the individual products.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is GenerateBlocks free?
Yes. GenerateBlocks is free to download from WordPress.org, works on unlimited sites, and is not a limited trial. It includes Container, Grid, Text, Button, Image, and Query Loop blocks with full responsive controls.
Is GenerateBlocks Pro worth it?
If you build FAQ sections, forms, pricing tables, or client sites regularly, yes. The Pattern Library, Forms block, and Accordion alone save enough build time to justify the $99/year for most freelancers and agencies.
Do I need the GeneratePress theme to use GenerateBlocks?
No. GenerateBlocks works with any WordPress theme that supports the block editor. It is built by the GeneratePress team and integrates especially well with that theme, but it is not required.
How much does GenerateBlocks Pro cost?
GenerateBlocks Pro is $99 per year as a standalone purchase. You can also get it inside the GeneratePress One bundle for $149 per year, which also includes GP Premium and GenerateCloud.
Is GenerateBlocks good for beginners?
It is beginner-friendly in that it uses the native WordPress editor you already know, but it has a real learning curve compared to visual drag-and-drop builders since you build every section from individual blocks rather than picking a finished template.
Does GenerateBlocks slow down my website?
No, it is built specifically to avoid that. It outputs only the CSS a page actually needs, skips jQuery entirely, and produces clean HTML markup, which is why sites built with it consistently score well on Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse.
Can I use GenerateBlocks alongside Elementor or another page builder?
Technically yes on different pages, but it is not recommended on the same page. GenerateBlocks is a native Gutenberg plugin, while Elementor replaces the editor entirely, so mixing them on one page causes conflicts.
Does GenerateBlocks work with WooCommerce?
Yes. The Query Loop block can pull in WooCommerce products directly, letting you design custom product grids and archive pages without extra plugins.
Is GenerateBlocks better than Kadence Blocks?
Neither is objectively better; they solve different problems. GenerateBlocks is lighter and gives you more raw control, while Kadence Blocks gives you more done-for-you design blocks out of the box. Choose based on whether you value control or speed of setup more.
Is GenerateBlocks better than Elementor?
For performance, yes, GenerateBlocks generates far less code and does not load a heavy front-end framework. For pure visual, drag-and-drop design speed, Elementor still has an edge, especially for complex, one-off layouts.
What blocks does GenerateBlocks include?
The free version includes Container, Grid, Text, Button, Image, and Query Loop. Pro adds Accordion, Tabs, Carousel, and the new Forms block.
What is new in GenerateBlocks 2.6?
Released June 23, 2026, GenerateBlocks Pro 2.6 (with the free 2.3 update) added a full Forms block with Contact and Email signup forms, integrations with Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, and Brevo, plus direct CSS editing on blocks and Global Styles.
Does GenerateBlocks support dynamic content?
Yes, through the Query Loop block for lists and archives, and through Dynamic Data (Pro) for pulling custom fields and ACF data into any individual block.
Can I build a full website using only GenerateBlocks?
Yes. Many production sites, including blogs, business sites, and small stores, are built entirely with GenerateBlocks and nothing else for layout.
Is there a GenerateBlocks lifetime deal?
Not officially. GenerateBlocks Pro is sold as an annual subscription. Watch for occasional Black Friday discounts, but there is currently no permanent lifetime license option from the developer.
Does GenerateBlocks work with Rank Math or Yoast SEO?
Yes, it works cleanly with both since it outputs standard block content rather than a custom content format that SEO plugins struggle to parse.
Can GenerateBlocks replace a separate forms plugin?
For basic contact and email signup forms, yes, the new Forms block in Pro 2.6 covers most of what a lightweight forms plugin does, including email marketing integrations. For complex multi-step forms or payment forms, a dedicated plugin is still the better choice.
Is GenerateBlocks good for affiliate or review websites?
Yes, it is a strong fit. The Button block’s hover and styling controls make it easy to build high-converting CTA buttons, and Grid makes pros/cons boxes and comparison tables straightforward to build and keep consistent across posts.
What happened to GenerateBlocks version 1?
Version 2.0 replaced the original Headline and Button blocks with a unified Text block and rebuilt how styles are generated. Version 1 blocks still work on existing sites, but new installs default to version 2.
Does GenerateBlocks offer a refund?
Yes, every Pro purchase comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, whether bought standalone or as part of the GeneratePress One bundle.
Is GenerateBlocks accessible?
Yes. The Accordion, Tabs, and other interactive Pro blocks are built without jQuery and follow accessible markup patterns, including proper ARIA attributes, out of the box.
Does GenerateBlocks support Full Site Editing?
GenerateBlocks focuses on content blocks rather than full-site templates, but it works fine inside block themes and FSE-enabled setups. For dedicated theme-building tools like headers and footers, pairing it with GeneratePress’s Theme Builder (part of GP Premium) gives you the most complete FSE experience.
How many websites does one GenerateBlocks Pro license cover?
Site limits are set per license tier on the GenerateBlocks pricing page, and the standalone Pro license covers a generous number of sites, enough for most freelancers managing several client projects on one license. Always check the current pricing page for the exact site count before buying, since plans do get adjusted.
Can I import my Elementor or Divi site into GenerateBlocks?
No, not automatically. There is no built-in converter, since GenerateBlocks uses native Gutenberg blocks and page builders use their own proprietary formats. Switching means rebuilding your pages, which is worth budgeting time for if you are migrating an established site.
Does GenerateBlocks support custom headers and mega menus?
Yes. GenerateBlocks Pro 2.2 added a Site Header Block and Navigation Block for building custom headers and menus as native blocks, and Overlay Panels (2.3) added mega menu, pop-up, and modal support. Conditional Blocks (2.4) let you show different navigation on mobile versus desktop.
Final Verdict: Is GenerateBlocks Worth It In 2026?
After rebuilding pages with it and comparing it against Kadence Blocks, Spectra, and a couple of full page builders, my honest take is this: GenerateBlocks is the best choice for anyone who values page speed and clean code more than a huge library of pre-made templates.
Who should buy it: developers and agencies who build multiple sites and want a consistent, lightweight system; bloggers and affiliate site owners who care about Core Web Vitals; anyone already using GeneratePress who wants matching tools.
Who should avoid it: anyone who wants a fully visual, drag-and-drop design experience with zero learning curve, or who needs dozens of pre-built blocks ready to go on day one. If that describes you, Kadence Blocks or a full page builder like Elementor will get you to a finished page faster.
Value for money: the free version alone is enough to build a real, production website. If you need Pro, $99/year (or $149/year for the full GeneratePress One bundle) is fair for what it replaces: a forms plugin, a patterns/template plugin, and often a chunk of custom CSS work.
My rating: 4.7 out of 5. It loses a small amount for the learning curve and the smaller block count compared to Kadence or Spectra, but nothing else matches its combination of speed, clean output, and genuine design flexibility once you know how to use it.
How AI Will Disrupt WordPress Blogging in 2026? A Detailed Guide
In 2026, the digital publishing space is more crowded than ever. With Tech Business News reporting that there are over 600 million blogs online and more than 7.5 million blog posts published every day, standing out has become a monumental challenge.
WordPress, which powers over 40% of all websites globally, remains the platform of choice for bloggers, brands, and businesses. But while the volume of content has exploded, the way that content is created is undergoing a profound transformation—driven by artificial intelligence (AI).
AI is not just enhancing how we blog—it’s reshaping the entire process of content creation, publishing, and optimization. From automated writing to real-time personalization, AI in 2026 is pushing WordPress blogging into a new era of speed, efficiency, and customization.
Transformer Models: The AI Behind the Revolution
At the heart of AI’s blogging disruption lies the transformer model—a groundbreaking architecture that has revolutionized natural language processing.
A guide to AI by MongoDB details how transformer-based models, like those behind ChatGPT, excel at understanding the contextual relationships between words and phrases, enabling them to produce text that mimics human writing in tone, structure, and coherence. These models are not simple keyword-matching engines.
They are trained on vast datasets and can perform advanced tasks such as text generation, summarization, language translation, and topic modeling. By leveraging transformers, AI systems can produce long-form, contextually relevant, and grammatically correct content at scale—making them ideal tools for modern blogging.
Now let’s look at five key ways AI is disrupting WordPress blogging in 2026.
1. AI-Powered Content Creation at Scale
In 2026, AI-generated content is no longer a novelty—it’s the norm. Bloggers, marketers, and site owners are turning to tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, and Copy.ai to produce articles, headlines, meta descriptions, and even social media posts at breakneck speed.
These tools can now generate entire blog posts in seconds , with capabilities such as:
SEO keyword integration
Tone customization (e.g., professional, casual, persuasive)
Real-time fact checking and source attribution
Automatic internal linking suggestions for WordPress posts
What once took hours now takes minutes, allowing WordPress users to produce more content with fewer resources. This doesn’t just improve productivity; it also levels the playing field, giving small creators access to tools previously only available to large content teams.
2. The Rise of AI Website Builders in WordPress
AI is also transforming how blogs are built and maintained. In 2026, AI-powered website builders have become a popular feature within WordPress, drastically simplifying site creation and management.
These builders use AI to:
Recommend design templates based on content categories
Generate color schemes, fonts, and layouts using branding cues
Automatically optimize page speed, image compression, and mobile responsiveness
Suggest content structure and navigation based on UX best practices
For bloggers without technical skills, this means launching a fully functional and visually appealing WordPress blog is easier than ever. For developers, AI accelerates prototyping and reduces repetitive design work.
Additionally, many of these builders now integrate directly with AI content tools—meaning you can create a full blog post, design the page, and publish it without ever leaving the WordPress dashboard.
3. ChatGPT and AI-Assisted Writing Becomes Mainstream
As of January 2026, ChatGPT has over 13 million unique active users accessing it daily. A significant portion of these users—estimated at more than 3 million—are using the platform specifically for blog writing, content ideation, or editing.
With ChatGPT, WordPress bloggers can:
Brainstorm titles and outlines
Generate entire drafts on specific topics
Edit and refine posts for clarity, grammar, and tone
Translate content into multiple languages for global reach
The ease of integration also plays a major role. Many users now connect ChatGPT directly to WordPress via plugins or API, enabling seamless workflow automation—from idea generation to final publishing.
This means a solo blogger can match the output of a full editorial team, redefining what’s possible for small businesses, hobbyists, and creators.
4. AI-Driven Personalization and Reader Engagement
AI isn’t just changing how content is written—it’s revolutionizing how it’s delivered. In 2026, WordPress sites are using AI to personalize content based on user behavior, location, reading history, and interaction patterns.
This includes:
Showing custom blog post recommendations per user
Personalizing newsletter content for each subscriber
A/B testing blog titles and CTAs using real-time data
Adjusting content length or reading difficulty depending on reader profiles
By using AI plugins and third-party tools, WordPress bloggers can now engage users on a one-to-one level, increasing time on site, reducing bounce rates, and improving conversion.
In an era of content overload, personalization is the key to making sure the right reader sees the right content at the right time.
5. Automated SEO and Analytics Optimization
Search engine visibility remains critical for bloggers, and AI in 2026 is taking SEO to the next level. Rather than manually researching keywords, optimizing headings, and analyzing backlinks, WordPress bloggers now use AI to automate the entire process. AI SEO tools for WordPress can:
Generate SEO-optimized blog post drafts
Automatically tag and categorize content
Perform real-time analysis of keyword density, readability, and sentiment
Suggest updates to older posts based on changes in search algorithms
Predict which types of content will perform best based on current trends
With AI SEO, even beginners can make their WordPress websites stronger, faster, and easier to find online
Final Thoughts
AI is fundamentally transforming the way WordPress blogs are created, managed, and experienced in 2026. From transformer-based models generating rich content to AI website builders and real-time personalization tools, the future of blogging is faster, smarter, and more accessible than ever before.
While this democratization of content creation opens up new opportunities for bloggers of all sizes, it also raises new challenges—such as maintaining authenticity, ensuring accuracy, and avoiding over-reliance on automation. However, for those who learn to balance AI with human creativity, the potential is limitless.
WordPress blogging in 2026 isn’t just about writing anymore—it’s about orchestrating a dynamic, AI-assisted content ecosystem. And the disruption is only just beginning. For those just starting their blogging journey, check out our WordPress Blogging 101 tutorial.

Are Personal Blogs Still Relevant in 2026? Yes — Here’s Why They Still Matter
A common question persists in today’s blogging landscape: Are personal blogs still relevant? People frequently wonder:
The buzz around personal blogs is undeniable. Despite the rise of social media and other digital platforms, the answer to whether personal blogs are still relevant in 2026 is a resounding YES.
Starting a blog is easy and worth spending time and money on your blog. You will get tons of benefits when you have your own blog.
In this article, we’ll explore the meaning of personal blogs and their relevance in 2026.
Let’s dive in!
What is a Personal Blog?
A personal blog is a platform an individual manages, where they share their personal life, interests, and opinions.
Unlike blogs managed by businesses or organisations, a personal blog offers readers unique insights into the blogger’s experiences and perspectives.
Here’s a standard definition of both blog and personal blog:
A BLOG is an online platform where written content is shared. It often includes multimedia elements like pictures, videos, and other artwork to enhance appeal.
A PERSONAL BLOG is an online space where you can share your thoughts, opinions, and stories about your life. It is distinct from other blogs because it is created and managed by an individual and caters to a personal audience.
A personal blog can be an old-fashioned online diary that expresses yourself. It can focus on any particular topic or significant event in life to help others.
Yet, most personal blogs attract very few readers; some make money via affiliate marketing and advertising sponsorships.
As you know, blogging has become one of the successful career options in 2026. So, the question is, are personal blogs still relevant? Absolutely, YES. If someone wants tostart a personal blog, it’s really easy.
Why Are Personal Blogs Still Relevant?
As I mentioned, a personal blog is often used to share thoughts online and written by an individual.
A personal blog works in many aspects of life and can be a promising career.
Build Your Own Portfolio: In this decade, a personal blog is being used to build profiles. It works as a resume or identity.
Help Audience: Write a personal journal or blog post to share your journey or experience with a global audience.
Expand Expertise: It’s an opportunity for you to share your expertise through your blog. It’s bringing more chances to boost your online visibility.
However, a personal blog works digitally instead of the old-fashioned handwritten diary; there’s no lock and key.
In fact, it opens the door to sharing experiences with the globe, which is precisely the opposite of traditional handwriting.
By blogging, you share your thoughts on the store and invite the public to read them.
Technically, your readers can browse your blog posts through the blog. Overall, it works best forbuilding a personal brand.
What To Write About On A Personal Blog?
You can write about anything that interests you, whether a hobby or something related to your job.
Starting a personal blog is a fantastic idea, and here are some suggestions if you’re considering it.
1. Follow Your Interests
When starting a blog, writing about things you enjoy is best. Whether it’s;
photography,
travel,
books, or sports like football,
…pick something you’re passionate about.
Focusing on one topic increases your chances of getting noticed online, which can motivate you to keep blogging.
Once you grow your visibility, you’ll have a better chance of getting blog traffic that motivates you to keep up with the blog.
In fact, you can even mix hobbies in your blog. For example, my first blog was about both blogging and marketing. I also threw in some posts about swimming. With a personal blog, you can write about anything you like.
2. Learn and Share
Let’s say you want to learn English or Spanish. You don’t have to be an expert to write a blog about it.
When I started my first blog on BlogSpot (in 2016) to practice writing, it helped me improve my skills.
Think about the WordPress plugin I created in the past. I learned and explored WordPress plugin code, especially while updating that plugin. I also write about WordPress and blogging topics.
Many people start blogs or podcasts to learn and get better at things. If you want to improve at something, a personal blog can help.
3. Random Topics
With a personal blog, you can write whatever you want. It’s all about what satisfies you. If you want to write for your own satisfaction, it doesn’t matter that much what you are up to.
Here are some random topics you can explore:
Teaching
Journaling
Local events
Personal causes
Relationships
Overall, you can write about anything that interests you, whether it’s funny conversations or serious discussions. Your blog is your space to interact with others and the world.
Are Personal Blogs Still Popular in 2026?
So, are personal blogs still popular? They are still hugely popular, but the concept has changed slightly.
Many people are turning their personal blogs into business websites. Nowadays, blogs aren’t just for personal expression; they’ve evolved into business ventures.
Here’s the list of the 10 most popular personal blogs list in 2026:
All these bloggers are earning a living through their blogs. It’s become their lifestyle business, offering flexibility compared to traditional 9-5 jobs.
WordPress, one of the biggest blogging platforms, reports that 409 million people view 20 billion blog pages every month. And that’s just one platform!
Blogging is growing rapidly, with the number of bloggers in the USA expected to reach 31.7 million by 2020 (Finances Online).
Another factor to consider is that Tumblr alone had over 463 million blogs in 2020 (Statista), and this number keeps increasing.
With over 500 million blogs existing in 2019, it’s clear that blogging is far from dead. So, if you’re considering starting your blog, there’s no need to hesitate.
